Ms. Jennifer's Room

The Orange Room is located just off the playground in Room 21 and is made up of 15 four & five year old boys and girls. In our class, children will develop both gross and fine motor skills through activities such as: dancing, games, hopping and outside play; cutting, pasting, painting, writing, coloring, activities and puzzles. Children will learn sequencing, pre-writing and classification as well as language, math and science skills through the use of books , activities, flannel stories, science activities and of course, play! We cover a letter, number and color each week with a review of all 26 letters in June. During our daily circle time is where we focus on the phonetic sounds of each letter. We also sing songs, practice with flash cards and do sharing daily. We have a schedule that we follow each day in order to enable the children to help in the process of their individual day. By doing our daily activities at the same general time the children will gain the responsibility needed to ensure success at the next level. We have great fun each day!
